READ ABOUT OUR FIRST JOB…
RemoteTaxi was on the road again at the end of September to record two very well known (and distinctive) musicians in Berlin: Sting's Symphonicity and Westernhagen!

Sting and the London Symphony Orchestra were first on the list at O2 World recording 'Symphonicity'. This performance is Sting performing his greatest hits, re-imagined for symphonic arrangement.

Peter Brandt comments, "RemoteTaxi was actually used as a back-up facility this time. We used one of my big trucks to record the live show onto 96 tracks at 96kHz / 24bit with a classic analogue/digital combination in the signal path using vintage API and Neumann preamp inputs. Riedel MADI units were used to interface between the truck and the Remote Taxi recorders."

As we were having such a good time we decided to stay in Berlin a few more days and record Marius Müller Westernhagen at a secret club gig (The Fritz Club!) which was kicking off his German tour.

Peter was once again overseeing proceedings, " We used 48 channels of API preamp to feed the Taxi via Euphonix A/D converters and a Riedel MADI interface. All of which just gave us a 'Top Notch' sound quality!"
